lyrics

Too many times I've had my hopes dashed
upon the reefs, upon the rocks
So many times I've seen the sun speak
only to suffocate by darkened clouds

I've witness God open the flood gates
and let it all come crashing down
I've watched the blisters from a burnt sky
leaking all the pressure out

Too many times I've felt my heart beat
like a desperate ranting swell
So many times I've seen redemption
in nasty weather, tucker out

I’ve witnessed God offer protection
from the sully of a storm
I’ve watched a desperate man neglected
in the billows of forlorn

So long I’ve sued for consolation
for any freedom from the pain
Deep inside no more commotion
just an apathetic fade
(Self made)
